Our first arrivals from Berlin based designers Nan Li and Emilia Pfohl's 'NAMILIA' for FW18. Lenticular PVC tops & cropped body suits are thematically applied to moto-inspired silhouette's, and a collaboration with boutique salon Isla Berlin.
Y/PROJECT FALL-WINTER 2018
Glen Martins FW2018 Y/Project sees the brands use of doubled-up garments in two-tone tees and intarsia-knit pullovers accented by tiered and layered denim. Styling customization is central to the ethos of Glen Martin's tenure at the helm of the late Yohan Sefaty's Y/Project, with each piece offering multiple ways to wear.
MASAYUKI INO: STRANGEST COMFORT
Masuyuki Ino's Doublet secured 2018's LVMH Prize for Young Designer by utilizing progressive technicality applied to ecclectic Japanese street-wear. Our FW18 selection includes elevated material processing and manufacturing, including exclusive Akoyama denim with a Jacquard selvage, ultra-wide corduroy, and lenticular textiles (garments that change pattern/prints depending on the perspective they are viewed at - in this case accessories that display the words "NO IMAGE" that dissapears as the perspective changes, and a prints that morph between cheetah/denim/plaid). Also prevalent is Ino's master use of intarsia knitting, hand painting, layered free-hand embroidery and the brands now iconic "packaged" garments, all applied thoughtfully to oversized silhouettes.
"BLACKMERLE [blăk-mûrl] noun. - A dark coated dog with irregular streaks and speckles.
H. Lorenzo presents BLACKMERLE - Founded by Vancouver & Seoul based Korean designer Terry Shin, BLACKMERLE emphasizes subverting styling que's from major houses back into the hands of the wearer. Multi-faceted zippers, detachable pockets, sleeves and collars form a modular range of garments with an almost unlimited amount of styling combinations. Adhering to the manifesto "More is More" each design element is carefully preordained from the use of painted and torched TYVEK materials, double woven custom "digital camo" textiles and the application of complex repurposed utility clasps.
MARTINE ROSE
