Alain Paul, born in Hong Kong in 1989 to a French father and a Danish-Brazilian mother, embarked on a journey that seamlessly blended the disciplines of dance and fashion. His formative years were spent immersed in the world of contemporary ballet, instilling in him a profound sense of rigor and discipline. However, at the age of eighteen, Paul sought a new avenue for his creative expression and transitioned to fashion studies in Paris. His career took flight when he joined Vetements in 2014 under the creative direction of Demna and the executive direction of Guram Gvasalia, followed by a notable tenure on Virgil Abloh's design team at Louis Vuitton from 2018 to 2022. In 2023, he co-founded his eponymous label, ALAIN PAUL, alongside his husband Luis Philippe, marking a pivotal moment in his artistic evolution where dance and fashion converge in his unique vision.
