Founded in 2021 by Chengyi Qian and Suzhi Xu, Keimfleck is a design studio rooted in architectural design and anthropology. Their practice moves between furniture and wearable objects, treating material research and socio-cultural memory as both medium and method. Drawing from Taoist metaphysics, industrial pragmatism, and field-based investigations from rural factory zones to communal kitchens, Keimfleck shapes forms that embody the contradictions and continuities of East Asian cultural memory. Through reclaimed regional materials, symbolic motifs, and narrative-driven design, they crystallize evolving identities amid the pressures of global urban transformation.
